Note From the Editor:
Speaking of amazingly clever birthday card ideas, what kind of birthday card or sentiment do you prefer? Personally, I don't like store-bought cards that have a lot of text because it's not personalized.
A handmade birthday card or a store-bought card with a personal message is much preferred. A long message is nice, but if you are opening the card in front of people, such as during a birthday party, you don't want to spend a lot of time silently reading your card in front of guests!
My favorites are always the "short and sweet" cards or anything that makes me laugh. I love making homemade birthday cards for my friends. I recently made this Quilled Balloon Paper Birthday Card for one of my friends and she loved it. Like this project, it uses paper quilling.
Paper quilling is a unique way to decorate cards and is one of my favorite paper craft ideas. I find it to be a relaxing activity and, even when you quill a simple circle, it looks impressive.
