Materials List

  • 5.6" x 8.2" cream colored textured cardstock
  • 6.2" x 4.5" cream and brown guipure embroidered lace
  • 4.6" x 4.6" vintage cream colored scrapbook paper with a bird cage printed on it
  • 4.6" x 4.6" vintage cream colored scrapbook cardstock with French writing
  • 4.6" x 4.6" vintage rose cardstock
  • A5 pink sugar paper
  • 5x small medium cream colored pearls
  • Large petal palm punch from XCut, code XCU 261811
  • Quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Score the cream colored textured cardstock to create a card sized 5.6" x 4.1".

  2. Add glue to the back of each strand and flower of the guipure lace and, with the fold at the left, glue the lace to the front of the card. Allow to dry and cut off any protruding edges.

  3. Carefully cut out the bird cage and glue it to the front of the card.

  4. Punch five flowers each from the cream scrapbook cardstock with French writing, the rose cardstock and the pink sugar paper.

  5. Glue the rose cardstock flower on top of the cream flower, but do not glue it down completely, so that you can slightly bend the petals of the rose flower upwards. Then, glue the sugar paper flower on top of the other two, again not gluing it down completely, so that you can also slightly bend the petals of the sugar paper flower upwards. Do the same with the other flowers.

  6. Glue a pearl to the center of each flower.

  7. Glue the five flowers around the bird cage to complete the card.
