Silhouette

Silhouette America is the manufacturer of Silhouette electronic cutting tools and a variety of other products related to the crafting industry.

Silhouette America incorporated in October 2009 as a subsidiary of Graphtec America and is located in Orem, Utah. Silhouette America markets its products under the Silhouette brand.

Silhouette’s signature products are the Silhouette CAMEO® and the Silhouette Portrait™ electronic cutting tools. The CAMEO and Portrait connect to a user’s computer and cut images and fonts laid out in the Silhouette Studio® software which is free from Silhouette (There is also a version of the software marketed to designers called Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition). Either version of the software enables users to cut any font installed on their computers, as well as designs created themselves or ready-made projects downloaded from the Silhouette Online Store.
