DIY Repurposed Map Roses
From the blogger: "Recycle your old, out-of-date roadmaps into some fabulous map roses. Not only do these map roses look fantastic, but they can also be personalized. If you use maps of special places, this will give the roses an extra special, personalized, and sentimental value. The tips of the map roses are brushed with red watercolor ink to finish them off and to give that extra bit of detail that brings them all together. You can display them in a bunch or singularly. They would make lovely gift toppers."

These repurposed map roses are a thoughtful idea! If you do indeed use maps of places you've been to or maps of places that are important to you then that would sweeten the pot. The roses themselves are pretty and then the maps add sentimental value to them also! If you were giving a gift representing a certain place...say for instance a made in Kansas gift you could make one of these roses up from a Kansas road map. Thanks for this inspiration!

This project combines two of my favorite things: repurposing old items like maps or books and creating personalized gifts for my significant other!
