Paper crafting isn't just for scrapbookers anymore! Paper can be made into just about anything, and in Barbara Bauman's book, Paper Jewelry: 55 Projects for Reusing Paper, you will see exactly what I mean. From belts to bracelets you will have a full arsenal of interesting patterns to try out. You don't have to be an origami expert to pick this up because this book is great for beginners. It features projects for all types of experience, so it is the perfect opportunity for you to try something new.
If you're looking for a way to get your kids interested in crafting, Paper Jewelry is the way to do it. Whether you're hosting a slumber party for your daughter or you need ideas for a classroom or summer camp, you will find all the fun patterns you need within the pages of this book. My favorite project is the Playing Card Bracelet on page 70. With something you always have lying around, a deck of old playing cards, you can quickly create a beautiful and unique bracelet that will match everything in your closet.
The best part about this book is that it is all about recycling. Whether you have old books lying around or have scraps of paper from a collage or other project, it will all be used up when you start these projects; you can feel great knowing none of your paper will go to waste. Try recycling old planners and notebooks in necklaces, or wrapping paper and ribbon scraps into bracelets! With so many projects to choose from, you will never throw away those scraps again.
