Materials List
- 12" x 6" white textured cardstock
- 5" x 5" square cut from ordinary white printer paper
- A6-sized yellow cardstock
- 15mm wide self-adhesive black lace tape
- 7mm wide black-and-white-squared ribbon
- 2 silver flower rhinestones
- 10 small round silver rhinestones
- Artline 210 Fineliner black pen
- Standard scissors
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Clear-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)
Instructions:
Score the white textured cardstock to create a card sized 6" x 6".
-
Use the black pen to draw small squiggles all over the piece of white printer paper.
-
With the fold at the top, center and glue the piece of paper with the squiggles on to the front of the card.
-
Use the lace tape to add a frame around the paper with the squiggles, and cut off any protruding edges.
-
Cut 5 similar flower petals from the yellow cardstock. Glue the petals to the front of the card, but do not glue the petals down completely. Only add glue to the smaller sections of the petals so that you can curl back the bigger parts of the petals to create a 3D-effect.
-
Add one flower rhinestone and the round silver rhinestones to the center of the yellow flower.
-
Make a small bow with the ribbon and glue it below the flower. Glue the second flower rhinestone on top of the bow’s knot.

I love the contrast between the black and white on this card preparing it for any other bright color you'd like to add such as the yellow! I also really like the way that the two different black patterns...the squiggly lines and the circle shapes in the 15mm black lace tape hold a balanced tension between the inside of the square and the frame. The 5" by 5" card size and shape places the yellow flower in the center right in the middle as the focus point. The silver rhinestones in the middle of the flower and the black/white bow keeps it all grounded. Thanks for sharing!
