I like your design! I was given a quilling kit for my birthday that I'm anxious to try and I'm already doing greeting cards so this seems to fit together. I can also see your concept transferring to scrapbooking as well as the greeting card/invite application. The other factor that fits in here is I've always felt I could be a beach bum in another life!
