What a great idea! We've always done the "write what you're thankful for on the leaf idea" and then tossed it into a bowl and called it our thanksgiving bowl. Sometimes it was just slips of paper! This gives a much more festive take and I think we'll be able to see the things we're thankful for better! With a large family I think we might do several of these in our house and in fall-ish colors so we have plenty of opportunity. I might include hanging a pencil at one end of each display just so there's always one handy!

I adore the idea, but I think I would have to make this with fall leaves colors if I am using it for Thanksgiving because it would fit into the theme so much better. I think adding a pinecone or two on the design might give it a little extra bit that makes it cute and adorable.
