Instructions:
1. Begin by creating a folded card to fit your envelope. You may use book pages for these cards to go with the school theme, or you can use any card stock or patterned paper you prefer. Once you have your base ready, you can decorate.
2. Hot air balloons are fun for a lot of different occasions. They work well for graduation using a ‘the sky’s the limit’ sentiment. Here’s how to make one out of flower petals: punch an XL petal and trim off the tip with scissors. Cut a small square of brown cardstock for a basket.
3. To add stripes to your balloon, punch another petal from a contrasting color. Move the punch slightly to the left as shown and punch again. Punch once more on the left side. Then punch another petal and move slightly to the right. Line up the three cuts as shown onto the balloon. Adhere the pieces and trim off excess.
